dealership tint situation
I negotiated free tint into the deal when I ordered my car a few days ago so I began researching the different type of tint on this forum (formula one, HO etc..) so I called my dealership today and asked what tint options they have available and he said "Dark and Medium"... I was like.. uh ok and thought to myself I guess I will deal with this situation when the car comes in.
What should I do?? I don't want a messed up tint job but I don't want to pay for another one when I can get this one for free.

I rather pay out of my pocket for a quality tint job than a free half-ass half-baked tint job
but the choice is yours

yea dealer tint like everything else dealer done sucks half the time
basically you get this kind of stuff from someone who ONLY does it and knows wtf hes doing completly, or some dud at the dealer that does whos a jack of all trades and a master of none

If the tint from the dealer isn't to your satisfaction, you may have to pay to have it removed and the adhesive removed prior to successful install of what you really want. Being from Texas myself, I understand how intense the summer sun can get here -- you don't want to skimp. I would find out what the "value" is of the negotiated tint and have it taken off of the price and use your savings towards what you really want. Like the saying goes..."You'll get what you pay for...." Good luck.

your dealing with a BMW dealership...not Ford!
It is in their best interest to use quality third party vendors. As far as the options they provide for you, my guess is they have 20% (dark) or 35% tint rates... cheers,
