sensor on cowl

Can anyone tell me what is the part name is for the sensor thats located on the cowl that fits in round hole thats sits on the passenger side of the cowl?

Are you talking about the alarm hood switch?

You'll need to have an alarm coded to your car if you don't have one already.

A picture would help...

Not sure someone told me it could be a carbon dioxide air quality sensor for our ac/heating system that if it senses high co2 or co it closes the vents so the gases do not get diverted into the car. I can not find this part #.
