Am I the only one who is concerned that this shop did an install that required lots of "people on car body contact" including removing the bumper on a filthy car? They have to have added lots of scratches. Luckily for them they are probably not very visible on light paint.

Yeah, we all know about snow and crappy weather, but a good shop would wash the car first. |

Look at the infamous last picture (quarterpanel) and look at the top of the rear window tint if you want to know how well they handled the "frit." It looks like it is peeling already. What bothers me about this shop? They obviously do poor work, don't care about customer's cars and then brag about it. I don't know who these guys are but they are clueless about tint installation. I'd assume they know less about electrics. I'd bet that car will have electrical issues down the road. The electrics in our cars cannot be treated like those in a 1980's Civic. Any small mistakes will mushroom into electrical system failure. |

First off ceb, the quarter panel marks were from the custy leaning on his car, the dot matrix at the top we give the customers options on how they want it done. vinyl, glue, etc... he choose to do nothing extra. We shave the edges on the doors to make look like factory, or yours done that way probably not,you probably bought some pep boys tint and did yourself. I am not trying to start a bitch fest, but we treat every car like it is the customers baby, we do not require custys to wash their cars, it is nice if they do but not necessary. As far as quality, you will not get a better job then from here, guarantee it, lets see ur job so i can pick it apart, if yours is so great.

That said, the way you guys did the frit is horrible. No halfway decent shop would let that out of their bay because their quote would have included the costs for vinyl, paint or glue. Your tint job is just appalling. |

of course not, but i am just the installer, i do not make the rules, the boss wants to charge extra for every little thing, i can't go against the hand that feeds me. I shaved the doors for no charge because i do it for bmw's cause i like the cars, and it looks better when there is no frame around it. he usually charges extra for the shaved edges but he isn't there all the time and he doesnt know how to do it, but he keeps track of his stock and would know if i used the vinyl and didnt charge for it, u know what i mean, he keeps track of everything

I must be getting old. I don't even know what you guys are arguing about. Dot matrix? Like the printer?
Why don't you guys stop acting like kids and make some useful commentary?

Thanks CEB, and the dot matrix there guy is all those little dots on the top of some back windows. Which serve no purpose on a car what so ever. they are actually raised ceramic on the glass, if you put black gloss vinyl over them it will look awesome, done a few beamers that way, but this guy didnt want to spend the extra dough for it.
