Software Update...
Hello,
My car (2006 330d) is due in to the stealers for an oil/oil filter/air filter/fuel filter change and I was wondering if it BMW do software updates for the ECU and auto gearbox? If they do is it worth getting the update done while they have it and are they likely to charge for this(i think i know the answer to this one!).... Cheers, Neil |

Dealers do updates for your car. Of course they do chage you, i was charged by a BMW specialist (non dealer), two days ago for 8 points upgardes, ECU, Power steering, Auto Gearbox, Radio and 4 more things i cant remember at the time being.
I was charged 80 euros for the upgrade. And yes its worth the money |

If you can convince the dealer in question, you have a problem, they should upgrade it FOC. Providing it's still in warranty.
