16 hour drive and $250 later

So I checked the forums on Friday at work and there's this guy here that wanted to swap his LED LCI tail lights for pre-LCI ASAP. After giving it some thought and talking to my GF I pulled the trigger and drove from NYC to southern VA to pick em up

And now I have LCI tail lights

Now need to code them and get some LED license plate lights and my rear is all set. I don't want a set of license plate lights that's obnoxiously bright, just something kinda like LCI have.

looks good, and I'm impressed that you did that kind of drive for some tails. I wish I even had the time to consider something like that.

Nice swap, look into OEM LCI license lights, lets find out if we can have them coded in, I'd be interested in those.

Well it's 8 hours one way. Plus I stopped by Virginia Beach. Motherfuckers are enjoying 60+ degree weather right now!
Here are my old tails.

They look awesome! You are crazy for driving that far. Gas, miles, and time, are not worth the extra 200 u saved

Yep. The tail lights were a little extra to my little vacation
Drove GF's RAV4 which is pretty decent on gas (26-28mpg).

Driving to VA on early Saturday morning was NOT fun. There was so much fog towards the end on the I-64. I was going 55-60 in 70mph zone cause I could not see shit. I only saw 4 seconds ahead of me. But next day temperature was in high 50's and I spent the day in t-shirt
Came back to NYC and slush and cold everywhere

the led lci tails are very sharp, but i still have a soft spot for the pre-lci tails...i like how the light output is a straight condensed solid line

if I had a preLCI e92 i'd have done the same thing. Consider it a mini vacation away from NYC aka the new north pole!
