335i iPod Integration

I have recently bought a UK spec 335i aswell as recently joined this forum.

I have noticed on a few threads talk of an integrated iPod option, although I have never come across this option since researching, ordering and now driving my 335.

I am quite aware that there is a Aux input which I can plug my iPod in to but was wondering if there was a sort of 'docking station' available from which I could control my iPod (flick track, volume etc) from the steering wheel or iDrive ?????

Can anyone help?

If you look through this thread: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=45991

You'll see most of the information currently available regarding the factory installed option that is the current buzz of conversation. But since you have your car, that is obviously not an option.

This thread: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=22106

describes the dealer installed option (at least in the U.S.). This would be the only real choice you have if it is available in the UK.

Welcome to the board, and congratulations on your new car!

IPOD integration

Once my dealer had found out about the kit I had them fit the BMW fully integrated kit before I collected the car.

My IPOD fits in the Glovebox and I have full track selection, vol control, and track info on my I-Drive screen.
I can search via artist, album, genre etc.
You can't have a 6 CD changer at the same time - just the front load single slot.
The installed cost was less than the cost of the 6 CD at about £280.

We just use the aux connector in my wifes E91 touring, but you only get volume control from the steering wheel.

Hope thsi helps

Jonathan
