Spoiler Question

Hey guys, I was looking at different bigger M3 style spoilers for my E90. And I came across materials such as polyurethane, abs and fiberglass. I was wondering which is the best material to get, in other words, which wont chip, break, crack, or paint coming off due to cheap material, or any kind of problem. I dont have much knowledge about the different materials, so any help would be much appreciated! Thanks!

NOT fiberglass, FG tends to crack and deteriorate overtime. ABS and Polyurethane are fine for painting, carbon is great for the carbon look.

No fiberglass - ABS or PU.

I like the ABS for the Trunk Spoiler and Roof Spoiler due to it's increased stiffness - you just have to buy with good fitment as they are not as forgiving as PU in that department.

For the Front Aero Lip I went with PU due to it's flexibility and ease of conforming to the front bumper.

My ACS Roof Spoiler & M-Tech Trunk Spoiler are ABS, M3 Side Skirts are either PU or Polystyrene (can't remember), but are made from same as factory material.

It's funny how the OP states he doesn't like carbon fiber, and then people suggest carbon fiber...

He asked for suggestions for the BEST. If he doesn't like it then he can ignore it.

I dont like carbon fiber, thats why I wrote those 3 materials. Why I dont want carbon fiber is because my car is montego blue, and I think cf would look a little weird with that, and my 2nd question is, the ebay link i posted earlier is that OEM, or which bigger spoiler is OEM. Help me out please, thanks

I think $125 for a painted spoiler is a great deal...

No way that's a BMW OEM spoiler painted for that price - but if the fitment is good guess it doesn't matter
