Anyone have the Alacantara shifter? any short throw shifter options ?

Im looking for a replacement shifter for my 07 335 MT. I looked through the shift knob discussion but didn't see anything there on the Alacantara. Anyone have it? thoughts?

Also, I saw they have a short throw option that reduces the shift movement. It's pricey at about $250.. but is it a good product?

Any short throw alternatives you'd recommend?

Thanks

did you mean the BMW Performance Alcantara shift knob with boot? if yes, i have it. it's absolut great!

the knob is shorter than the standart one, but the shifting isn't shorter with just the knob.

Thanks! Do you like yours better than stock? Any plans on installing a short throw shifter to decrease shifts?

i have the performance ssk and i love it. it feels the same as stock just shorter throws. The other brands like UUC change the shifting feel if you dont like how your stock one feels

are these hard to install? I read some DIYs on here and the car had to be jacked up etc. I had a corvette where all the install work for a short throw was done inside the car, didn't require lifting, cutting, etc.

there is a diy with pics, it is very easy to put on the bmw short throw shifter. i cant say for the uuc or rogue. there are some who claim they did it all from the cabin but it will save you time to get underneath. i personally like the e46 zhp knob over the bmw performance ive had both.
