Did I waste $63 on new plugs?

Just replaced my plugs @ 30k miles. About 22k tuned. How do they look? Also, the listed $5 sears socket will remove the plugs easily with a little filing.

The old plugs are done on a tuned engine.

I've seen a lot worse... those really don't look bad at all. The electrodes look fine (not rounded), and they look like they're a light brownish color, which would indicate your car is likely running about where it should be. If they were darker in color(black), it might indicate fouling and/or running rich, and if they were lighter in color (white) it would indicate it was running lean. There is also no excess depositing, or signs of detonation or pre-ignition (small chunks of the plug missing, or overall shape deformed). Overall, I would say your plugs looked alright to me, not really much of a concern.

On that note though, it's never a bad idea to swap them out, preventative maintenance is always a good idea IMO. Have a good one!
