new bayside service center
yea bump +1 i agree... the service is great and fast and the people are always willing to help you out with any problem you have. they talk to you not like a stranger but just like you were any other person, with respect and equality and they seem to be alot more organized now. yea we all heard a few bad things about the old dealership but now its soo much better and looks a shit load nicer! the great neck staff is a great group of people. the mechanics do great jobs and answer all qyestions with you. today i was there and a guy came with a leaking antifreeze hose. they replaced the hose in 2 seconds outside and explained the reasons as to why things happened... to um it all up, its a great dealer that does great work and they are not out to completely destroy your warranty, they are there to fix your problem so dont be afraid to go by there and ask anyone and everyone questions because they surelly will answer w/ a lot of helpful hints along with it. hope this puts all the b.s. in the past and people stop listening to others and see for themselves!

How about those with bad personal experience, like myself...?
I bought my car from this dealership, but I don't think I will ever take it back there for service. I went to fix a lumbar problem at the old place, and almost left with a 12+ inch scratch in the side if I didn't do a walk around of the car and notice it. I was then put down by the yelling service manager who blamed the scratch on me. Sorry, but Bayside BMW will always suck, at least in my book. |

I am skeptical about this place because of various bad reviews but I think I will give it a shot for the state inspection. Recently they seem to have some good feedback.

My father took in his '09 X5 this weekend for an Oil Change, and while he was at it decided to let them know about a navigation problem that started 6 months into ownership (often wasn't reading the Nav Dvd). Took about 3 hours, but they replaced it no questions asked. He was completely satisfied. However, he was not so impressed by the fact that a relatively new car's navigation malfunctioned so quickly.

Went to new facility a few months back AND VERY VERY VERY rude customer service.
Once I pulled in, no one greeted me and I had no idea what to do. When some scruffy guy came by, I told them I was low on oil. He said in a rude voice; "GO BUY SOME THEN". I have more rude/disrespectful stories but that was the latest one to "try" out their new center. I NEVER go there for any reason. I LIVE in bayside and choose to bring my car/business elsewhere such as Rallye or Habberstadd |

I bought my X5 at Bayside... Have yet to need to go to service... That being said, Not sure If I will go there... When I had my 335 i always went to BMW of Manhattan (never had an issue with them, although many on here do complain about them) as they are closer to me then driving back to bayside for service (2 miles to BMW of Manhattan vs 15+ to bayside). In my experience if you treat your SA with respect they will do the same in kind to you... BUT i know this isn't always the case...

Ive been driving and working on BMWs for the past 14 years. Ive been in and out of almost every dealership in the tri-state. I use periods and commas in my sentences. Spell checker can be my best friend at times. I know how to count. You used "3rd" twice in your run on sentence/paragraph. I win.
Oh and yea... Bayside service department should be torn down and used as a landfill. So you can run and tell that "homeboy" |

droptopkingm3... you are rediculous 1. 2. you need to get a life. 3 you need to stop being a d*ck and mouthing off to everybody. 4. watch yourself because you are being rude to my brother in law. 5. maybe if you weren't so rude and obnoxiously stubborn then you would be treated differently whern you go to service. 6. you have an e46 m3 and you dont have a warranty most likely so wtf are you doing going to a dealership anyway?! its cheaper to get any problems fixed elsewhere at a body shop than it is to get it fixed at the service center. also last statement, if you didnt come off as a person who thinks they know it all and are better than everyone else than maybe you would be treated differently at the service department.

Nevertheless, my review is genuine. I can understand why my low post count may hurt my credibility, but I have no bias. I can care less about Bayside's reputation because in the end its still a stealership, which means it has none. Most people only hear about the bad reviews. If my good experience doesn't match your expectations thats ok, but it doesn't mean I'm lying. |
