BOV charge pipe and diverter valve questions

What are the differences between these??? Will it make any difference?? Heard they not worth it.
Not sure but isn't the BOV installed on charge pipe???

People upgrade the charge pipe/DVs/BOV when running a tune as the stock charge pipe and DVs are prone to leaking falling off under high boost.

Also some guys like the sound of BOVs so they go with them regardless of tune or stock.

Chris,

The quick and dirty answer is that a stock silicone CP and stock DV can leak as boost increases and not hold boost as well as you tune your car for more power. BOV and DV do the same thing in diverting to the air. Some people like the swoosh sound of a BOV and others think it sounds bad. Either work fine its a matter of taste. They are worth upgrading when you add a tune since they prevent leaking and help you build boost faster when needed while accelerating. A CP is upgraded for meth injectors and because the stock one has been known to pop off at high boost. The stock one is silicone rubber and can expand with heat as well and effect performance. The upgrades are metal and do not expand as much. Overall they do not appreciably increase HP/TQ but will help maintain and protect your car as well as help with other mods like meth and nitrous.

If you do a seach you will find everything else you want to know. It is best to search before asking some questions as they have been answered before and you may get some rather rude responses,....Good Luck.

Cooling mist makes meth kits. I suspect it is an elbow for the meth kit nozzle to make a right angle turn into the CP. Look up Stett CP and Evolution Raceworks CP. You will see they are clearly charge pipes. Then go to coolingmist website and look up their "elbow". Compare...

You really should search a bit and educate yourself about it.
