Unmarked, low flying blacked-out helicopters.... They're coming to get me....
Ok so on my way to work today, I came out from under a long left-sweeping underpass to see a really surprising and alarming sight.... I came out of the underpass and was about to get over to the exit lane, and there was a fucking little bird, all blacked out, to include the glass, no more than 30 feet above the lanes of traffic, just hovering there.... Fucking spooky shit.
It was all black, I didn't catch any markings or anything. It looked a lot like a MH-6 of some variant, maybe an MD-530... Anyway, is it possible it was some sort of speed trap, or are the spooks out and about around here (Chi)...? Do they normally do this shit? I'm thinking it was probably DEA, but I'm not sure. Again, there were no markings that I could see, and I got pretty damn close (too close IMO).... AFAIK, there are only a handfull of entities that can do that.... Also, I'm thinking it wasn't a speed trap, as the Statie helos are well marked, IIRC. Any other ideas? I know most of you are busy leg-humping the latest troll-posing-as-a-girl member, but thought I'd see if I could get some input. |

Ditch the heroin and make for the border....
Go, Go, Go! Wonder if anyone else is posting on the interwebz about it. Could also just be some kind of stock footage being shot for a TV/Movie that's filming here in the area. Did you happen to see any other choppers flying above it? If it was truly that close it's dangerous because of the knee-jerk reaction some motorists have... surprised it didn't cause an accident. |

Nah man, it was some freaky shit. I wish I would have gotten a pic, but I just didn't have time. It was close and it most definitely was blacked out. Not just tinted or black, completely blacked out. I couldn't make out any shapes in the cockpit because of how heavily it was tinted, and didn't see any exterior markings. And I got within 30 feet of it with the sun shining directly on it.

FBI scanning for POI's
DEA dont normally black out windows because they need to see the pot fields out the windows, and a lot of time ride along with the local sheriffs Dept. (at least out here in Cali) but remember |

I guess the next question would be, was it an MD-530? Is that what they use? |

FBI HRT use one of the many versions of it, yes. Basically, if its blacked out and a "little Bird" its either FBI, Special Forces, or Homeland Security.
Did it have rocket launchers on it? |

LOL no pods or racks. But it did have a cluster of what looked like fixed forward facing sensors and optics just below the front of the nose.

Could have been a ULB also, the military is using them as UAV's now, remote Choppers to scout stuff out. No need to see out of the windows if your a robot lol

I can't think of any reason the military would be scouting the most boring stretch of metropolitan freeway in America. |

That happened to me one day... I was minding my own business preparing a sunday gravy for the family. I was also prepping my drug mule for her next flight. Blow may or may not have been involved. The gun sale didn't work out like I thought it would either... Tough day all around. Had to call a plumber cause my dumb ass wife shoved a whole bunch of ....flour.. yeah flour.. down the toilet.

Yeah? Well I must be a combination of Bourne, Bond, and Frank Martin, because they didn't get me. I don't know why, but I half expected to see it whip around as I went past and start buzzing my car.... Fucking weird. Maybe I watch too many movies.

I know you are saying it didn't have markings on it and the windows were blacked out, but I can confirm that last year when they were filming transformers downtown they were using a black helicopter with a lens array on the front similar to this one (not my pic).
When they were filming it was too far away for me to get a good look at any markings, but the helicopter itself was completely black like the one above. Pics I shot with my phone while they were filming. |

Nah it was an MD-530 with a very small fixed array of enclosed optics, definitely not a filming platform. But it most definitely was a fixed array of them, in a very small enclosure. This is what made me think UAV right off the bat as well, but it just doesn't make sense IMO.
Also, no visible markings. None. And the glass was ridiculously black. If they were civilians filming 25-30 feet above the freeway, there would be some sort of crew nearby or warnings. Whoever it was, they were an entity who could get away with flying under the height of the lines/poles around the freeway, without markings or warning of any kind. Definitely some sort of government agency or rogue criminal entity. |
