Suggest a "first" good watch.

I recently got into watches and the alba watch I have right now is pretty dated. Whats a good first watch within the $75-$200 range that I should get? I am pretty clueless when it comes to watches so any suggestions are welcome.

Seiko has numerous respectable entry level options...they are typically conservatively styled in the 2-300 range. They aren't made in Germany though, will you feel like a ricer with a Japanese watch on your wrist?

Just in case this has any truth whatsoever, you can go here for some "value" priced entry level German watches.

Still going to have to step up your budget a bit... Germany makes great watches, but they don't make crazy quantities like the Swiss do, so the prices will always be a bit higher than a similarly equipped boutique-brand Swiss timepiece since supply is typically smaller for German timepieces.
