Need Advice: E90 Stock Halogen To Angel Eye Upgrade
Hi,
I currently own a 2007 328i and am considering upgrading my stock Halogen headlights to the newer Angel Eye headlights. I don't have much experience when it comes to upgrading my BMW but I've been doing a lot of research on it. I've found a bunch of options for upgrading my headlights but I'm not sure which options are the best for me. Any input or suggestions from experienced forum members would be greatly appreciated! As of now, the best options I've found so far are: 1. DEPO Projector90 E-Spec Headlight Set with Angel Eyes from Jlevi I did a lot of research on these but it seems like many people are having trouble with them. They seem to be the best quality headlights out there but give a lot of errors when installed. As of now, Jlevi took it off their shelves due to product defects but hope to have them back on in about a month or so 2. RETROFITTING my current Halogen headlights with BMW CCFL Angel Eyes Halo Rings I'm not really sure how retrofitting works but I heard its lot cheaper than buying the entire headlight set. Would I basically just be buying the Halo Rings and attaching them to my Halogen headlights? From the threads that I've read, it seems that retrofitting turns out pretty well and doesn't cause that many errors. Any insight and suggestions as to which options are the best and which parts I should buy would be of much help! Thanks, Jimmy |

Hi Jimmy,
We have redone the Projector90 Headlight page with a new option for the error canceling module. The Error Cancelers were not preventing errors on all models but we have a new version that is tested to prevent all bulb out warnings with the HID and or LED angel eye ring option. I think it's the best aftermarket solution in that you get a preinstalled and warranty backed kit that is plug and play and ready to go. |
