Talking FS - BMW M3 Instrument cluster gauge VERY RARE!!!

BIMMERPOST / Classifieds
Asking Price:
None

Item Interest
I am selling an euro spec M3 instrument cluster taken from a 2009 M3 (date of manufacture is 03.07.09)

This one also has dashed holes on top of the revs cluster ring (where i believe the lights glow up as you move up the revs!)

Theses are very rare and one of the coolest mods you can do.

This is an original M3 cluster. You need to have it coded for your car, obviously, but this is not difficult to do - there are several people on this forum who will do it for varying amounts of money.

Once coded, it's a PLUG AND PLAY install, i.e. you swap the cluster and you're done.

Or you can strip it and just take out the needles and all that stuff and keep your OEM cluster. People have done that too.

The Part No. is 62107842380. Tischer sells it for $925 new.

It is in very good condition overall but does have a few light marks on the screen, which in my opinion are not that noticeable.

I am looking at $460 USD shipped (plus paypal fees or send as gift to avoid them!)

Just outta curiosity, I always wondered home these retrofit properly in a newer, non M3 BMW with regards to the oil temp gage.

My gage has 250 degress at center, which is where it runs close to during summer months.

This cluster only goes to 150 deg max...

even if they did work, would they be useless since the m3 has a different redline?

also, we need to short shift our cars for the sweet spot

no because u can adjust the revs required to reach the red line through coding.

Op - I believe the part you have is for a DCT M3. 6MT car use a different cluster from what I can see on RealOEM.com

http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...2&fg=05&hl=159

It also looks like BMW makes several clusters. DCT, 6MT, KPH, MPH & KPH, ect...

I met a guy who does coding over here in DE. He told me he can do this to any BMW. The a hardest part is getting a cluster. Then you just need someone to code the cluster which he said he charges about 140 euros - IF I remember right.

Here is his 135i with a M3 cluster in it. Everything works except the rpm lights in the tach ring. But the rpm yellow/red band does move up and down - for warmup. Just the redline lights don't work.

I had my 135i cluster coded for the M3 digital speedo & also for it to reflect TRUE vehicle speed instead of the OE "buffered" value (+3 -5% higher).

Just wondering since the shift lights don't work in the 135i. Would those work in mine? Also, are the gauges white or amber when lit up?

According to his other video, he only swapped the needles and gauges, not the cluster. I can double check with him, though.
