AUX Wire for IPOD

I went to the store today to get one i didnt know which one to get for connecting my ipod.... so i asked the worker there he told me there are two kinds one was minijack the other one i forgot what it was called..........Does anyone know which one i need or what i need to connect my ipod..........

standard head phone connector sized plug is what you need

1/8 male to 1/8 male stereo if you want to use the headphone output. I recommend you take a look at the sticky for the iPod solution on this forum... for a few bucks more the Monster solution works very well.

that way you get the sound from the proper line-out and the ipod gets charged

+1 on the 1/8 to 1/8... you can just say a 1/8 for the ipod and they'll know what your talking about... but i would suggest you find a low profile one as some places wont have the thin ones.

but this doesnt take advantage of the AUX.
your computer speaker input wires are also compatible for AUX if you want an example! take the wire that connects from CPU to your speaker.

but 1/8 is the size, get gold tip connectors=better conductor
