Short Shift Knob (335 6mt)
I know this has been posted before but its so much better than the way too tall stock shifter
I got the shorter shifter sent to me from morristown bmw. Install took 2 minutes, if you have a 335 and a manual transmission you need this simple mod, its the way it should have come from the factory. Its the perfect height and just feels so much better in your hand. |

no
e90 is BMW Part #: 25110404454 e92 is 25110413546 I thought i read somewhere in this vast forum that the boot may be different between the two above. i think they also have different part numbers for all-leather or leather / alum combo, etc. http://www.circlebmw.com/cgi-bin/acc...records=Search

Short shift knob is 1 inch shorter, which is 25%. Attached pic shows the difference. The part number in my pic is for the sedan. The coupe may have a different part number, but I think the main difference is the shape of the bottom of the leather boot where it snaps into the console.
Here's the ultimate knob thread http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...ORT+SHIFT+KNOB

$110.50 + S/H
https://secure.webmakerx.net/Default....crownauto.com Also, get the matching E-Brake handle (part no. 34400404523, $35.04 + S/H), especially if you have the Aluminum trim.....

there is less leverage think about it. the actual shift stick is the same size, but the knob is shorter, so the overall shifter is shorter and therefore so are teh throws i ahve this exact same short shift knob on my 335i coupe and i love it. |

Come on! Pay a little closer attention. I provided a link to spacedogg's excellent list of options for shift knobs just a couple of posts higher in this thread.

A few points: -The new knob will come with the leather boot attached. -The old knob will come off separately from the boot. Simply unsnap the base of the old boot from the console. -When you attach the new knob be sure to seat it firmly into the notch on top of the shifter. http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=10257
