Well the guys at Carrozzeria Design fixed the exhaust issues...it was originally a clamp on system which they welded instead, and they did a number of other things as well, anyways no more problems but thnx for your guys input

Well I am fresh off two exhaust installs over the past weekend and figured I'd try to diagnose your problems.
My guess on the rattle at idle is most likely one of the hangers not being secured correctly and I am going to guess it is one of the hangers that have a bolt attached to the one of the rubber hangers. The excessive noise you are referring to could be an exhaust leak. There are a ton of clamps with the new exhaust system and someone might not have connected the pipes completely before securing the clamps. In short, take it back to whoever installed it and have them look for these problems...if you did it yourself, you probably know what I am referring to. Good luck |

Similar noises and clatter happened to my Boxster when I installed the Gemballa exhaust, brought it back to the shop and it was an installation glitch. So I think it should only be a small problem.
Since aftermarket exhausts are made with thinner stainless materials plus the extra diameter would make them more prone to drone under load. |
