Microfilter service

How much will the dealer charge to do the service, if they can call changing a filter in 10mins a service!!

If i done this myself do you think they will get funny if a problem was to arise as car in under warranty?

Where could i buy a genuine BMW filter?

If you change it yourself you won't be able to update the servicing info on the car so that will always show as due. Got mine done this week as well as brake fluid. Think the filter was about £30 + VAT, fitting I would need to check but wasn't a massive amount. Probably £60 or so incl VAT fitted.

You can reset the CBS indicator when you change the microfilter yourself.

How do you sort the cbs indicator yourself? And can you reset it even without changing the filter?

Only used on a full air-conditioning service, not just a standalone microfilter service.

I always squirt a healthy amount of Dettol spray into the intake when I'm changing pollen filters - I find the pink grapefruit one works best. Makes the whole car smell nice for days, and helps keep the pipework germ free

I did mine myself, the word 'microfilter' threw me a bit till someone on here told me it was just a pollen filter. I called my dealer and they wanted £90 +VAT to change it, I politlely declined and bought a MAN filter for £20.
Spent the money I saved on me

The dealer price for this part is under £30. I bought from the dealer as the price ended up similar to Ebay.

I had mine done early - in fact i had four services done at once (only one was due) as i can't be ar5ed to go all the way back to them just to get a filter changed!

£420 in total - inspection service, oil, filter and ermmm something else that I've forgotten. Oh and had the MOT (which was due) done too.
