Question about wheel spacers

I was wondering if having wheel spacers will affect the ride or handling on our cars? How about at high speeds, lets say above 100mph?

Reason why I ask is because I see people on the forum using spacers to flush out the wheel......Maybe the wheels they want doesn't come in an aggressive enough width and offset?

On that note, I wish that BBS CHs came in a more aggressive width and offset.....

This is the most common reason for people adding spacers to their wheels.

So when do we need longer lug nuts? Anytime we use a spacer?

They won't make a huge difference in handling. Yes, the wheels will be pushed out but not enough to make a dramatic difference. The main reason for spacers is to correct for a less aggressive width/offset combo or to clear aftermarket shocks.
