Churning noise on front driver side?
I have an Alpina D3 Bi Turbo, and I am getting a intermittent churning noise from the driver side front wheel, more noticeable at motorway speeds and when banking to the right, it's now getting more and more noticeable and it's driving me crazy! Could this be a wheel bearing? The car runs absolutely true, and there's no pull to the right and no vibration or wobble through the steering wheel........need to get this sorted, as apart front this problem, the Alpina is superb! Any ideas? Many thanks!

Sounds like a wheel bearing to me. Especially if it's worse when the car is loaded on one side (i.e. when turning right).
I could be wrong though. Do you get any judder when braking? The only other thing I can think is that the rotor on that side might be buggered somehow but that's a stretch. First thing I would have thought is the bearing. |
