320d Servicing items
Hi,
Does anyone have a list of servicing items for the 320d? I'm looking to do the rest of my servicing myself or take the car to a decent indy rather than have the stealer service it (although Sytner Maidenhead have been very good tbh), and I know from servicing my diesel Fiesta that including other filters more often in the service structure makes a hell of a benefit to performance etc. Cheers, Mike. |

If you are going down that route it will probably be worth getting a haynes manual. They list everthing that should be done at various intervals in the front of the book.
However won't this approach affect the resale value especially on a BMW? I used to service my old shitter cars but had planned an using an indy for the regular service on the BMW and then do as much as I can in terms of other maintenance and fixing myself... With regards to parts - I would think any decent autofactors would be able to suppy the correct filters etc and be cheaper than buying from BMW... |

my shopping list is normally:
Oil (i use castrol edge 5-30) Oil Filter Cabin Filter (micro filter) Air filter fuel filter Change all of the above every approx 20,000 miles. thats pretty much it for these modern diesels! i bought all of my last lot from Opie Oils, they supplied all the filters and oil (except fuel filter) for approx £120 ish IIRC.

K&m I recall where good and cheap in comparison to dealers. Munich Motors in Wokingham might be worth a try.
I didn't know there was a Sytner in Maidenhead, is that the one in Taplow that was Altwood and then changed name to something I can't remember. |

Aha! The Stratstone garage was original Altwood back in the day. Interesting to hear it has been taken over. I purchased a few motors from them but they lost interest in my business and never called back so I went and purchased elsewhere.
Still, Sytner in Ascot is nearer for me know (used to be William Jacks) |
