BIMMIAN: In Dash GPS Navigation + Audio + Bluetooth System

Hi ALL

I was just wondering if anyone on the board had had any experience with this aftermarket GPS unit from BIMMIAN?

I think you should look at Bimmian's feedback before considering the product. The product on it's own looks good, but not so sure about the company.

The Dynavin unit is very popular for cars without navi. We did a review of the product in the video below, you can also do search to find lots of info on it.

Whats wrong with them? I bought some stuff from them. Steve is a great guy. I had to return something and it was no problem at all.

in the 2011 model, there is no ash tray, the heated seats button are on the temp pannel. Would this device still work.

I checked it out, too expensive they wanted like 900Canadian + shipping for the unit.

Benson, its not a half bad price. I think theirs a coupon code floating around somewhere for Bimmian to get 10% off as well. IT will save you most of the taxes atleast.

i have it.. got it for 6xx
- design, graphics, touch screen all pretty decent
- radio reception got worst
- bluetooth function's mic isn't that good
- volume control isn't too good (volume level 3 is too low, but level 4 is too loud, also when i unplug the ipod connection, the radio's volume would be very loud, so i have to turn down the volume first before unplugging the ipod)
- the SD card that came with mine was faulty, it kept freezing during my navigation time, after i changed the SD card, everything is fine
- the new ashtray that came with it seems cheap and flimsy and the colour isn't exact match to the alumium
- one thing i would complain after paying so much for a unit is it doesn't have traffic alert, i could of spend 200 and get a decent GPS which has life time map update, life time traffic alert.

i could buy an exact same functionality tablet on dealextreme for around 120 or a very good GPS at 200.. so you guys should think if it's worth it to spend a few hundred $ more for the design.. i personally think it's worth only 500, not more.
