If no codes are being thrown use Chevron Techron fuel injector cleaner (concentrate). It solves rpm fluctuating upon cold start-up. Also, for most BMW problems start off by scanning your car with the Peake Research Tool. It contains the actual BMW codes. If you want to register a newly installed battery for free (just buy a $10 cable) and google/download BMWLogger

Look at Detailers Domains posts. They have really detailed lists and include links to the products they used on that particular car. The results speak for themselves so I trust what they use. I have purchased quite a bit from them and I also use autogeek.net for other detailing products.
Good luck and happy cleaning ![]() |

It is all about finding the ones that will work best for you and your car. I would suggest reading our detailing guide and our Ask a Pro Blog to learn about high quality techniques along with the favorite products of pros. We offer 10% off at www.DetailedImage.com with the coupon code e90post. Let me know if you have any other questions.

^ what he said.
First and foremost read, read, and read. Once you have a better understanding of quality car care and detailing, you'll find it easier to pick out quality products. |

From my experience you don't necessarily have to buy the most expensive stuff. Far as wax and car wash goes. I use Meguiars NXT car wax and their Gold Class car wash. Now the wheel cleaner and glass cleaner you can find OTC also. Glass I use stoners then I apply some Rain X. Wheels you can use car wash soap or buy some P21s. Other than that go for the stuff at detailersdomain or detailedimaged. There is another website but I can't remember what it is called right now.

you can pick up some stuff locally at canadian tire, like the mothers clay bar system, some stoners for the glass, meguiars soap, meguiars degreaser for your rims, some microfiber towels (costco/canadian tire have decent ones), and some folex to get salt/stains out of the carpets, armor all tire gel (ive used a few tire products and i was surprised by the armor all get, lasts a while and shines really nice). The meguiars nxt wax is alright too if u wanna buy as much as you can locally.
Everything else id order online, like wax (i use natty blue, its awesome and cheap), a good sealant like blackfire wet diamond, 303 aerospace for the interior (dash), Leathrique for the leather, something to polish the exhaust tips (p21 makes one i forget the name, works great), a waffle weave towel, and some brushes/wash mitts. i ususally order from autogeek.net. or you can check out eshine.ca |

-I really like Chemical Guys soaps -- Maxi Suds and Citrus Wash/Gloss.
-For an inexpensive wax, Poorboys Natty Blue -For a great sealant, Blackfire Wet Diamond -The DI Waffle Weave towels are the best I've used for drying the car, without question, since I haven't had any problems with them linting like cheaper microfibers do. Avoid those artificial Absorber products, if they hit a dry spot they can mar the paint from rubbing. Same with the California Water Blade (happened on my VW a few years ago, I now use it on my shower door). -Grout sponges or sheepskin mitts are good for washing -Stoner's Invisible Glass. I buy it from Walmart in the car section, but it's the best glass cleaner my wife and I have used, I think we have three cans around the house for mirrors and windows, not just the car stuff.
