No audio mute on Nav

I have an e92 335 with i-drive, logic7 and professional navigation.
The radio does not auto mute when navigation directions are spoken.
The nav instructions sound over the top of the radio. Is this normal?

no its not....the nav voice is supposed to mute the sound system then speak...get it check out.

Thanks, off to the dealer. I did not think it was right, my e39 540 muted audio for nav instructions.

well, it doesn't really 'mute' the music.. just lowers the music volume..
