If you mean drag strip the only place I know of around here is Epping NH.

Are you a BMWCCA Boston member? There are several scheduled events for this coming season already. If you're thinking of doing a CCA event, you'll want to register for "Ground School" first. Registration opens for that on Monday.

Hope to see you at a few events!

Doesn't that beat the BALLS out of your car? I would feel lame taking a 325i to the track. I never got a chance to take my civic si there and that would be were it would have excelled, not the drag strip.

I was under the impression you'd want at least stainless steal brake cables, new brake pads, and most likely a dedicated set of tires since you will be tearing through them like no tomorrow.

All of that is possible. I guess I would be non-run flat PS2s for track use. And change my break pads and break fluid.

Thanks!

There's an event for high performance driving school at the new hampshire speedway on May!

Yes there is indeed. Remember to register for Ground School first, you'll want to know some basics before getting to the track. I've done the NHMS events for the past several years, and always enjoy the day and learn something new. I missed last year, but really looking forward to getting up there this season. If you sign up, lemme know! I'll probably do Ground School this year too just for a refresher.

Drag racing isn't my thing personally. NED can be fun, and a chipped 335i might have fun seeing performance gains, but it doesn't appeal to me. I'd much rather be driving on a road course.

Don't feel lame about taking a 325i, it's a BMW - drive it! You don't need any modifications to make the car track-ready unless you're doing it every week. Sure, you'll decrease your tire's tread life but that's about it. As long as the car is in good order otherwise, you'll be fine and have a blast (and learn a lot too)!

I'm MUCH more comfortable at New England Dragway, I will consider trying out a track day or something but I'd have to check the costs. I like to think my car is in good order, but that rear passenger side metallic "tink" noise I hear on quicker acceleration keeps me worried. I just got the car and don't know enough about it to check it out myself, and I didn't buy from BMW so I am not sure what I am going to do about it

To partisipate in one of the HPDS(Track Day) up here in new hampshire (White mountian chapter) here are the requirements. Im sure the boston chapter are similar.
