Custom Exhaust Help

ok its exhaust time. I'm going on a limb and going to do my own using magnaflow mufflers. As of now the only "cats" that are going to be on the car are the ones on the downpipes. I'm guessing this would save me anywhere from $500-$1000 on an exhaust system. I just spoke to one of the reps and he said all their systems use universal single chamber mufflers.

I'm wanting to use the 4" Magnaflow MagnaPacks as cats. But not sure what muffler to get or what design to use. Its either going to be MagnaFlows XL mufflers or their universal mufflers. But of course I have to decide on a design first. So any help would be appreciated. (I will get an M3 rear end and run the dual tips if thats info you need)

I've made a poll if that helps to. If you have magnaflow exhaust system or a custom exhaust system using magnaflow mufflers, if you can post up a sound clip.

Save money. Get 2X 12 in resonators to replace the secondary cats and an exhaust tips from Cyba or Dimisa.

do you have any clips of this??? I was going to do something like that with the magnapack in place of the cats with the stock exhaust.

If you are going to do that, just take out the cats.

I don't want to take out all the cats that'll be louder then what I want. On my TL the popular thing was to remove the stock cats and use something like the magnapack mufflers or resonator and it gave it a specific tone. Nothing really performance wise but more for sound. With this, I'm going to change piping size a little which would help out performance wise.
