my 335
I was at my dealer today to check on the status of my car. It is supposed to arrive in Concord today and should be at the dealership by the end of the week. E90 335, Sparkling Graphite, black interior, SP, PP, PDC, Comfort Access.
I am planning on getting the OEM aluminium pdeals, rear deck spoiler and blacklines and I priced it out at the dealer since I thought it would be easiest if they did the install theselves so the car is ready when I pick it up next week. The quotes I recieved seem VERY high: 1. Spoiler, painted and installed - $690 plus taxes 2. Pedals, installed - $390! plus taxes 3. Blacklines - $490, installed plus taxes (they are estimating 2 hour install which seems ludicrous to me) Can someone who has purchased these parts please tell me if this is way out of line?? If I istalled the rear and front clear lights on my old E46 330ci, I assume installing the blacklines myself will not be any more difficult. Is that correct? I think they are trying to screw me on the labour but if some of the stuff is a very straightforward DYI, I'll just purchase the parts. TIA. |

Please check out our GB thread for pricing on the Blacklines. $225 CDN + shipping/tax.
http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=49086 Its a simple install, I have done it on couple E90s already. Max 1 hour job with the right tools (clip remover and a wrench). |

I'd be glad to help you install any of the mentioned mods. None of them are particularly hard; the pedals are about 30 min, blacklines are an hour tops - the spoiler price isn't *too* bad since they are painting it.
You can get the pedals and blacklines much cheaper too, there is a GB for blacklines as mentioned, and pedals are available for 1/4 that price on Ebay. |

Avoid the dealer for all the parts you can avoid. Their price are too high and labor is also very pricey. Shop around and learn to DIY. I saved hundreds by looking around. There is still some parts that I used the dealer for since they gave me a 15% discount and the parts are Euro spec and hard to find. Dealers are not the best place for most mods including OEM IMHO.
Good luck and post some pics when you get your ride.
