BMW 1M, sell my 3?

http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=494926

BMW 1M looks awesome... dealers starting to get allocations now. ~50k well equipped.

Need to purchase an extended warranty for my 2007 335i by June. Do i just stash that 3k and sell my car to buy this?

2007 Space grey 335i, 21,XXX miles

Premium Package,
Logic 7 Sound
Moonroof
Sports Package,
Sirius Radio
Black leather
Xenons

Mods:
Dinan Stage 1
K&N Air Filter
Active Autowerks Exhaust
35% tint
OSS Angel Eyes
M6 Reps on Falken 19" tires, ~3k miles on them
Black Kidney Grilles
Black Lower grilles
Black Vinyl overlays for BMW roundels
M3 rear lip spoiler
~9k in mods
Can't post pics at work, will add later

What do you guys think i could get for this? Thoughts on the 1M. Looks mean

Im in love with the 1m you'd probably be able to sell your car for a nice price to put towards the 1m if you do decide to go that route

+1 on being heavily modded. It'll take some dedication and time if you decide to part that out if a straight sale doesnt work

Here we go...(flame suit on!) I think the 1M is gay as hell, and it looks stubby as shit. The only thing M about that car are the CSL styled wheels. All the 1 series cars are ugly as hell and seem solely designed for a woman. I mean really? you want to go cheaper than a 3 series? Your 335 seems nicely modded and is prob be a blast to drive, why the hell would you not keep it instead of opting for a 1M? IMO the only M worth considering is the M3. Other than that, save your money. Shit I would even pick an overpriced 335is over the 1M.

9k in mods? Do you not buy from vendors on here? lol

Honestly, why get the 1M? Did you finance your car? If so, just pay it off and enjoy all the mods you have in your car. You could blow the doors off a 1M anyway with your 335 after a few more mods. I dont' think the 1m is a bad car at all but if you already are paying off the 335 and have the mods you do, I would just keep the 335.

I have similar mods than you but on an 08 (see sig) and I would prefer to keep my car than the m1. Its just not doing it for me visually and your car has to perform pretty well as is. I plan to sit on this one and save cash until the next gen m3 comes out. That car will be worth the upgrade.

Depends what you really want, 335 you can turn into a M eater easily , but then you gotta pay to play, now if you want something quick and fun with some subtle mods and reliable everyday then def go with the 1M .

as a former 135i owner, if you appreciate the fact your 3 series doesn't rattle, you're in for a rude awakening. From what I understand, they STILL didn't resolve all the assorted random creaks, rattles, squeaks, and popping noises. All of these accumulating fit and finish issues and hatred for manual transmission made me get rid of it. Hell, my middle brake lens broke three times, the dashboard deformed and my ashtray cover assembly wouldn't close. I don't see the 1M being any different.

Driving around in a 3 series rattle-free is like rubbing your ass with silk
