Cant decide on a car color
I thought I was going to get Montego Blue...but I chickened out and ordered it in Black...now I'm thinking Sparking Graphite or maybe Crimson Red.
I love the Graphite, but my Audi is very close in color, ie Dolphin Gray Metallic. |

You'll be like this until the final day of your order close out. Dealers are used to it. I think I changed mine seven times before they forced me to make a decision. I love what I have. You'll find what you like after a while. Take your time.

If you're not 100% sure about the color now, you won't be able to decide until the last day

I have a dolphin grey a4 now also and loved the graphite. Just couldnt do the same color again so I went with white. Liked the red but not on the car. Take a look in the photo gallery of all the colors and you can get a better idea of what you like.

red looks feminine on the car. maybe lowered, 19 inch wheels, tint it may look better.

You need to see the colors first hand...ideally, next to each other. If they don't have them locally....it might be worth getting an airline ticket to Chicago or Miami...big dealers...where they have all of the colors.
$250 airfare investment for a $40k car and color peace of mind. I did this. Last edited by Rover; 03-04-2007 at 07:09 PM.. Reason: added info |

Cant go wrong with silver and black... The blue is a really good looking car. My brother has a 325i that is the metallic black and it looks fantastic and wont end up looking like flat black in a few years since its metallic.

The SG has a purple tint to it. Some like it, others do not. You have to see one in the sunlight to be sure you like it. I personaly prefer Dolphin, but you might like the SG?

How does the BMW Jet Black hold up over time? I've had two flat black cars previously. |

Just saw black saph right next to jet black at the dealer yesterday. BS had a slight graphite look to it with small metallic particles. Kind of looked like a dusty jet black. But it would be much easier to upkeep(hiding swirl marks, dings, water marks).
Interestingly I saw all the colors together(+bronze -deep green -arctic) with a slight coat of dust(prob what the car would look like most of the time anyways). Low maintenance colors in order: 1.Tiag,SpaceG looked the same (Arctic is probably really low maint too) 2.then AW, BS, Crimson red(actually looked better slightly muted) 3.then SparkG Montego(somehow dust made it look more purple) Monaco then JB 4.Bronze just looked weird. JB looks stunning when washed and waxed, but if you are not gonna do this every week then I say go for Black Saph! |

I actually quite like the Deep Green metallic, saw it on a sold 335i coupe at the dealership the other day and it looked something special to me.
I hear they are bringing out Carbon Black II which if half as good as the original Carbon Black will be absolutely gorgeous!

I ordered the space gray without even seeing in person. At first I thought i made a bad decision after later seeing a non-sport 335i at the dealership. Since I got mine, new wheels, etc.. the color has really grown on me. Doesn't show the dirt near as easy. Looks great at night under lights, etc.

Anything other than Alpine White or Arctic Metallic are crap.
(everyone simply suggests their own colors, right)
