It is something that can be set in iDrive as far as I know.

By the way, your English is excellent. Better than some people here who grew up speaking it.

It is of course possible that the Turkish market version is different but I see this as unlikely.

I would ask the dealer next. Please let us know what they say.

If that doesn't work, if there is a local importer (BMW of Turkey?), I would call them and ask how it's supposed to work.

In the idrive, go to vehicle options, locking, confirmation, and click on the beep when locking and beep when unlocking check boxes.

That is what I am thinking, unless for some reason it's not a feature in Turkey (which I don't think is the case but one never knows).

If the hood pin works than the alarm is coded. It sounds most likely like this is not an option on the Turkish market cars

My 320d also does not give audible indicators, and it is not something that can be changed in iDrive either. iDrive only allows the configuration of the visible indicators.

I think MonacoBimm is correct, in that this applies to all Euro versions. Only the cars sold in North America seem to have the option for audible indicators.

Having said that, it might be that the dealer has a way to enable it.

If you just have the basic alarm (passive) system, there is no audio to enable. You need to add-on the "active" alarm system option to get noise. I believe that this can be retrofitted, and if I remember correctly, my SA said it was about $700.

FWIW, I do have the alarm option, but no beep on lock/unlock either.
The only options available in setup are "none" and "lights" (no iDrive here).

+1 murattürk, a little beep would be nice, as the door locks are not always audible (say on a noisy street) and I cannot stay with my eyes at the blinkers always. The remote does not seem that reliable so I could just "press and forget".
