I think the SE is 163 and the M sport is 177.
The new 320d has about 190+ bhp now. Quite amazing, considering the first lot of E46 330d's had the same power. |

Before efficient dynamics came into play in September 2007, the 320d was 163bhp without a diesel particulate filter - hence the down pointing exhaust.
After this date, all 320d versions were 177bhp with a diesel particulate filter. There is NO difference in performance between an SE and a M-Sport. The M-Sport is simply cosmetic and the two vehicles have the same acceleration, top speed, and fuel economy. The latest version of the 320d is 184bhp - which allegedly knocks half a second off the 0-100km time. Again, same outputs whether SE, ES, or M-Sport. |

Isn't the 123d due for an upgrade, the single turbo version isn't that far behind now?
