Dash looks like xmass tree (full of lights)

Can anybody help me. I have a bmw e90 323i 2007 manual and lately I been having a lot of lights on my dash:

- I have a orange empty engine sign that appears for a few days and than disapeers for another few days. This has been going on for about 1 month.

- I have the brake fluid light saying I was due for change in Jan/2011.

- My latest one is, I have the car on a towing in red + the handbrake light that stays on at all time.

First, do you guys have an idea of what the lights mean (beside the oil replacement). Second, what do you guys recommend me to do, go to dealer, go to another garage or get a diagnostic cable (any recommandations).

Thanks

FYI

Brake Light: Computer went crazy and was saying that brakes were over due by 160,000km. It just needed a reset.

Check engine: They changed my O2 sensor... I am a little pissed because car was running perfectly. Not sure how dammaged the O2 sensor was.... My gas per mileage was good.... They charged me for 3 hours of labour for the o2 sensor.

Anyways, last time I am going to the dealer...
