Question Noisy Seats?

Does anyone else out there find the seats of the E90 noisy? Every once in a while there would be a creak here and there when you are accelerating, stopping or going over a bump. It's minor and I don't want the dealership ripping through my seats and not be able to find it but it is a tad bit annoying. Maybe it's because they are not cloth seats which would be quieter.

Hi, i have started to notice the driver seat creak when i step on the clutch. I don't know if it's the cold weather but nothing else seems to creak despite the drop in temps.

Have you brought your car in to the dealership for the creaking?

I am having the same problem. During acceleration, Shifting and braking. Drivers seat only. BUt now that it's gotten colder I have not heard it in a week. Annoying as hell though. If it conrinues when it warms up again I'm gonna have have it fixed.

I've experienced some creaking but only over bumps. You have to really listen for them though. The rattling over bumps, now that's loud.

I have no rattles, but plenty of creaking seats. It is starting to drive me insane. Car is going to the shop Tuesday, I will ask them about it then.

i have it too sometimes when i move around a little in my seat. most of the time it's quiet but yes, it bugs the hell out of me when i hear it too. makes u wonder how they can produce such fine engines, gearboxes etc. but forget the small things like making seats that don't creak, making seatbelts that don't tick, and steering wheels that don't creak.

Have been having the same problem on and off, especially with acceleration/deceleration and moving side to side in the seat.

I've localized the source to the metallic band that holds the seat cover down to the seat on the right side near the front. The creak goes away when I apply pressure on it.

My solution (may be only temporary) was to spray some WD-40 for lubrication under the metallic band. Had to do that several times, and it seems to have cured it for now. *fingers crossed*

Any link to power vs. manual seats with the creaking? Do all of you with creaks have power seats?

Power seats.

Anyone with creaking manual seats?

To top this all off, today I got the seatbelt tick... you can hear it above music because it is so high pitched!!

Mine started doing it today and it is hectic, when i use the clutch or get on the brakes or when i hit the throttle it is there. Even bumps make that stupid creeking noise come to life.

I am really not impressed, doen't anyone have a cure for it because i do not want the dealer ripping my airbag equipped seat appart, just to find a creek or noise.

I expected more from a 40k+ car.

Help me....
