Nitrious kit installation in Long Island

Looking for some reputable shop who can install the intrious kit in Long Island, better if they can get the kit so I do not need to find them.

Depending on which nitrous kit you decide to get. (do your research before you pull the trigger) they are actually very simple and easy to install for an introductory nitrous kit. The basic Dry and Wet kits are very simple and user friendly. IF you are trying to get serious and go for a direct port staging system, then you would want a professional to install it if you have no nitrous experience.

The introductory kits are actually very simple to install. Its a simple system. If your only considering a small 50-75 shot, as long as your A/F ratio is good, you should be golden. But if your trying to get a few hundred horses our of your stock engine, it can get very pricey, and dangerous. I installed a NOS adjustable 150-250 shot 3 stage wet nitrous system on my 02 Z28. Took me a day to install and test. I had no prior nitrous installation experience, just did my homework.

a jet size of .50 would be a bump of 50 hp? Is that how the jet sizing works?

My cat can install that into your Z28, but making sure system works under all conditions, failure points, mixture offsets, etc is what takes real skill.

Engines and nitrous are old technology and it's very simple if your willing to learn it. If you have never dealt with Nitrous then yes is a best idea to have a pro do it for you, but you can ever know how your own personal engine will react to it unless you get out there and spray it a few times. With all that bullshit you just threw at me, you obviously have no idea about nitrous. Maybe you should ask your cat about it.

sizing of the jets work based on fuel pressure (if it is a wet setup), bottle pressure and how many No2 jets you are using in the setup. Usually a single jet size of .050 (1.27mm) would make ~100HP to the wheels with a bottle pressure of 900psi. If you were running a wet kit with a jet size of .050 you would be running a fuel jet size of .027 at 45psi.

Not necessarily.

A 50 HP jet varies from different nitrous manufactures. However, that isnt my point here, my point is you can slap on a "25 shot" onto a 335i for instance and gain 90HP from cooling benefits.

See your specific jet size from the manufacturer of your kit to determine theoretical gain. Its the easiest way.


.030 (inches)Jet (dry kit) is about 35-40 HP

The measurement is in thousands of an inch, while other companies might calculate the range in tenth of an inch i believe.

Since some do .30 and .030 which are different sizes, its best to just say "25 shot, 50 shot" ETC ETC As it becomes confusing.
