Factory alarm

So my big question is in my e92 do I have an alarm ?

I spoke with the sales manager he said yes... u have the prem pkg.

but, I lock the car, wait and open the car form the inside out and no alarm lol
no convience acces either.

Suggestions ?

There are two levels of alarm -- passive and active; you only get noise with the active system. I also believe it says on one of those annoying little window stickers that you are not supposed to activate the alarm from inside the car. I don't know why they say that.

No both are seperate things. Comfort Access and the alarm are both options

open your hood and see if you have a hood switch. it should be located near the driver side shock tower. if not, you will just see some wire with a plug that goes to nothing.

or you can removed the rear compartment lighting panel on the roof and see if there is a motion sensor inside there.

Also I cannot even activate the panic option, by holding the trunk button down

The alarm is a dealer installed option. How can your sales manager be stupid enough to make that statement - or does he just like to lie to his customers.

Dealer charging 3.5 hours labour at 115/h total 450ish tax in cdn. sound crappy lol
I might just go after market and get a paging and remote start alarm what do u guys think
