As Luck Would Have It

So I finally buy my 335xi and get to enjoy it for three weeks until I slipped on the ice last Friday and broke my right ankle pretty bad. (One week before the great melt started happening here in NH). I can't put any weight on it for 6-10 weeks so the car is now sitting in my driveway for 2+months until I can possibly drive it again.

sorry to hear that. I'm hoping you will be able to walk on it faster than the 2 months. Hope you feel better soon. Enjoy the percocet.

Sorry to hear. Hope you recover soon! My new car's been sitting in the garage for the last month pending plates, so I know how you feel!

Thanks. Just got back from the doc's office and had the sutures removed and a fiberglass cast put on. 5 more weeks - non-weight bearing. After 5-weeks, depending on progress they may put me in a light weight bearing cast for 2 weeks then a boot, or put me right into a boot - which I believe I can drive with the boot.

The next 5 weeks are going to seem like hell.

She's parked under a car port in my driveway, so she's out of the elements, but she's filthy. Ugh....5 more weeks.....

Luckily drive by wire needs little pressure.. the brakes might be a different story..
