Awe Forged Bov/diverter Valve

Im in a market to look for another set of diverter valves since my current set up - ( forged dv's ) is currently melting/shaved due to my UR CAI.

Anyone have any feedbacks on the AWE BOV/diverter valves ?

Talked it over at Helix since they are the only ones who will be carrying their products

What do you guys think ?

EDIT - heres the link

the UR CAI gets really hot and since theres little to no room for me to adjust the DV. One of the DVs is touching the CAI. The Dv formed a groove around the CAI.

i thought it was me but when i looked at bobby's car he was having the same problem but his wasnt as bad as mine.

CAIs get hot? How? Isn't it just a tube connected to the filter and suck in air? Do you currently have an aftermarket charge pipe?

stock charge pipe - the engine bay is hot which in return makes the CAI pipping hot

Scott, the thing is made out of stainless steel!! Mix that with a hot engine and it becomes a hot air intake

The fact that a CAI tube will heat up defeats the purpose entirely, thats why I went with the BMS dci, i would love to get a set up like dinan that isn't metal but its so much $$.

AWE is a awesome shop with really talented people working there. I got my GIAC flash there, i just wished they focused more on BMW than audi/porsche but with this product it seems they are getting there!

In theory, it should work, since it's keeping the pipe cooler.?

I use basically the reflect a tape but make sure you don't get wider than 1.5" cause its a PITA to do the bends

I figure it can't hurt to try it ... I was thinking maybe the Injen wrinkle black protected better but got a deal from Ben on his Injen DCI so I bought it
