18 Tire size question

Well i just picked up some 18s from a member on here, tires are 225 40 18 their m6 reps, i got a 2008 328xi sedan with 205 55 16 for factory size. I would like to get new tires and want to get as much rubber as i can, i put them on the car but the tire looks soooo skinny. Is their any way to go with a 45 series on this set up? And now that i put wheels on it i relized why they go staggered, because the rear wheels look crazy haha, any spacer size suggestions?

Going with a higher sidewall won't give you a beefier look...you can move up a size to 235/40/18 if you want a little more tire. My guess is that the wheels are 18x8 ET35 so I would def put a 15mm spacer in the rear to flush it out.

235's will give you more of that squared look you are trying to achieve. Most likely your current wheels are a 8.5" which will cause a hair of a stretch on a 225 tire. 235's will be square with the rims edge.
