A couple of good 330d Contract Hire deals.
Just noticed over on www.comparecontracthire.com that the 330d SE Manual can now be had for £381.48 + VAT over 4 years and 10k miles per year. The Touring for £395.17 + VAT same terms.
Those are very, very good prices. If they'd have been available a couple of months ago I'd have been very tempted. I just thought someone would be interested... |

The 335i tourer was available for about £450 / month 2 years ago, but when i added the options I wanted it went to over £800 per month.
CH is good if you're happy to have a standard car, any options you just pay for them 100% and get nothing back when you return it. |

Not strictly true. I've never ordered a standard car on CH and some options are very reasonably priced depending on how desirable they are.

That is how it has been on all my leases - basically give you the price of the car. If you want leather at £1200 - then simply divide the £1200 cost by the total number of payments and that is how much it adds per payment.
Never had any goodwill, taking into allowance the car will have a greater residual value with some of the 'essential' options I had chosen. I mean, you can't expect folding mirrors to increase the cars resale value at auction but leather and attractive wheel options must help lots. |

Maybe, but on most sites I quoted, the cost was 100% added to the rental.
i.e. £2000 pro nav / 36 months = £55 per month. Give or take a few quid, that's how much the rental went up. The best deals on these schemes are for stock cars usually, so you only get what they're stuck with, if you're lucky you'll get a good spec - maybe a cancelled order or similar. |

Well I still don't agree. Using the 'option cost / number of payments' equation the car I've ordered should be costing about £40 + VAT per month more than quoted.
Anyway, I just thought those 330d prices looked good. If they'd been around when I was ordering I'd have been happy ditching a few toys for the 6cyl engine. |
