Please help - Vishnu

Several questions need help: -

1. I don't know when and how my oil/gas tank indicator has changed to in-dash boost gauge, how can I disable this function? p.s. my car is not available with cruise control & iDrive;

2. Currently I am using V4, since my car is not with cruise control, can anyone tell me the updating from V4 to V5 would be the same procedures as what we did the same for V3 to V4?

If so, how to do for this step? ~>> "Step 5: Once uploaded, go to Mode 3 on the Command Center and do commands 12 thru 1 (12, 11, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 in that order)."

You can toggle back through the the different gauge display mode by double-clicking the hazard button (like a mouse). Double click it until you see the standard fuel level and oil temp values.

We will have command center support for cars without CC very soon. That is next on the priority list.

Speaking of gauges...

Mine is a 535 with no oil temp gauge. Do I have options other than just showing boost on my fuel gauge?

The right gauge is the fuel economy one, right? So you don't see AFR's in it? If not, is it possible to do that somehow?

I don't care much for intake air and ignition myself. Boost and AFR are the most important to me.

you need to download here the Procede user software 5
PROcede User Software v5.00.zip

and maps and firmware:
Official
BMW N54 v5 Maps, Firmware and docs.zip
Beta
BMW N54 v5 DIC Maps 3-15 BETA.zip

Just copy and paste the new software folder next to V4 folder. I kept both in place.
From now on you will always use the Software 5 instead of 4. Put a shortcut of it on desktop.

Than load Firmware and maps following the instructions included in the BMW N54 v5 Maps, Firmware and docs.zip folder.
If you have a BT cable you can do the reset adaptations there. I know people that loaded the latest betas and did not reset adaptations and their car was running fine . Some other have issues but i guess it depends a lot on which software your car is running.
READ the Sticky Procede manual as well.

+1 Don't worry if you can't access the Command Center to reset all adaptations. It's not necessarily a requirement. It just allows the DME to readapt from scratch. But your DME will adapt even without a reset. Just may take a tiny bit longer. Or not. Either way, don't worry,

Hey Shiv, problem no. 1 has solved, and I found that double pressing the hazard button seem available with 4 different modes (one of them is valet), is there any thread to show what will have on different mode?

start the V5 software on the laptop. you will see the command center values there.

I'll try it out and let you know.

I have difficulty knowing which level I am in because the speedometer display doesn't match up. My max limit is the same as the default option for the 335 speedometer calibration but when I switch levels the needle won't jump to the correct number.

- I will try and reset the calibration
- I will pick a gauge display option and see if it shows up on the right hand gauge

I can tell you the shift light works. Is there just the one rpm for the light or does it make sense to have a light that has a different rpm set point for each gear?

The gauge geometry in the 535 is a bit different than in the 135/335. Which means that the positions of the needles wont necessarily be accurate. We can add a 535 display calibration option to the command center. But for that, we will need more info for you. Shoot me an email at shiv@vishnutuning.com with your phone number and we can work it out pretty easily.
