Alarm randomly set off

I have the factory installed alarm, and am experiencing random set offs. Today I parked my car in my parking garage at work and it went off twice. I now am locking it by pressing the lock button twice to turn the sensors off. Anyone have any ideas about what could be setting it off? Has anyone else experienced this?

Does it still go off with the sensors off? It says in the manual to turn the sensors off if parking in a parking garage because the movement of the concrect will set it off when cars drive over it and what not

I guess I should have read the manual. I still am not sure since it is parked on the bottom street level, I just said structure becuase we park under our building. I will check at lunch to see if it went off again.

Thanks for the help.

Had this happen in my '04 e46. Turned out that the hood switch was bad. Annoying as @$# while it was happening though, ended up locking the car with the key all the time
