An alternative would be going on a diet or possibly taping some bottle rockets to the trunk.

you also drive a 335i, yet you want to improve your 325i's performance?
not much you can do to a 325i easily. maybe some owners could chip in. i know there's an ecu remap and with an intake + some other stuff, you'll be at the power of a 330i. |

yea the 335i is mine and I done what I could do with it, the 325i is my wife's car (which I bought for her) and after driving my car for a day or two, she feels her car is a little boring so I really dont know what I can do with it to increase power.

Holy shit talk about beating a dead horse. Active Autowerke Tune, MMW CS muffler, lighter wheels and tires, Carbon delete with K&N drop in. Enough power to notice but not over done for your wife. Thats about it and enjoy it for what it is. A good daily driver.

I think the point is that you can't really get much more out of your 325 without spending a ton of money. Sure you can install a new exhaust, air intake, power box blah blah, but those won't give you much for your buck. For real power gains you would need to install a 3-stage intake manifold, which in itself is an expensive proposition, and do an engine rebuild to increase displacement and finally install a supercharger. I wouldn't go turbo. In all you're probably looking at $10K+

Would be really dumb NOT to go turbo...Same thing as a supercharger, just that your charger is belt driven by your pulley system and not as powerful as a turbo , but a turbo can be tuned and PSI can be adjusted. Run forged internals with a low compression ratio of say 8.5.1 you can easily boost 30+ PSI with proper tune and fueling daily.. But then again you get into big bucks this route lol, but ya thats how you make real power ![]() |
