Help needed on tire size !!

Hello:

I have a 325i e90 with double spoke 195 wheels and 205-50-17 tires in the front and 225-45-17 in the rear.

I am guessing if I can get wider tires, lets say 225-45-17 in the fron and 245-40-17 in the rear with the same wheels !!

Any help?

The style 195 wheels are 18".

Get the whel width to be sure. May be moulded near the wheel centre or on the rear face. Check front & rear to be sure.
