Advice - 2008 3 series

Hi,

Want to introduce myself and to ask a question.

Just bought an 08 328 used (not from a dealer) it has 42,000 km and warranty until next March.

Is there anything I should be doing with BMW dealer/head office? Like road side assistance etc..

Sorry, new to BMW (and until now I've always purchased older vehicles with no warranty) so new to factory warranty also.

Any advice on what you would do (what to get checked out, what service to be done under warranty or not under warranty) the dealer I bought it from did get it from Oakville BMW - they showed me a report from Oakville BMW (it is a 1 owner that came off lease).

Thanks.

yes, contact bmw and register yourself as the new owner so roadside/warranty can transfer over. my dealer did that for me.

Thanks. I appreciate that. I was told by the non-bmw dealer I purchased from that BMW will do the oil change for free also. So I am going to take to Oakville BMW and have them do that - and see if there is anything else. Then I will ask them if they can register for me.

Thanks again.

You can just call BMW Canada to do it yourself. They'll then send you your BMW Service Card in the mail which indicates when your warranty expires.
