Don´t heard any of them , but read some rew. and yes , the B/o system rocks
I should def. not compare them, , but also , loock at the price... And any better , compare your E46 H/K system with an home H/K stereo , the only thing they can match is the name... Volvo use Dynaudio in there Premium sound package , also works fine I think ... |

B/O specializes in speakers and are famous for that, so they are suppose to be good, and yes, you pay for what you get
i have the logic 7 in my e92, and i think its better than my mercedes e320 which has the bose system...

If the BO system in the A5 is the same system that's in the A8, then the BO is noticeably better than the logic 7. The BO system in the A8 is the best system I have heard in a car.

BO home systems look good, but they dont provide the sound quality of LINN or other high end speaker brands. I looked into them a while ago, but didn't get them because the quality wasnt worth the price.
I'm sure the in car speaker system sounds good though, and it looks great |

I hate Bose, but how come so many automakers are using their audio systems??? It really confuses me, Bose is not even high-end or anything, and well simply their audio quality is poor at best... At least BMW uses HK.

I sat in a Audi a8 that had the upgraded BO sound system and honestly i would say it is about 100 times better then the Logic 7 in the E90 E92 and the 7 series as well.

Yes Bose = Crap. They sell their products by good marketing. There are much better systems out there for car and home for the same price or even half.
The BO in the A8 is nice. Plus the Pop up speakers are so cool. Linn is what Aston Martin uses. I'm assuming they are good too. I heard some nice B&W speakers my friend's dad had and they are awesome. Also M&K are really good if u r looking for a speaker for a HT system for movies and such. |

Aston Martin uses Linn, and VW uses dynaudio.... dynaudio are the best speakers i have ever heard and they sound whatever in the VW. and the top of the line Linn System in the DB9 is the worst car stereo i have ever heard.

My downstairs neighbour works for LINN...he has a Aston Martin that has the LINN and even admits it blows... the Logic 7 in my 330i sounds better in both our opinions...
I've heard the Bang & Olufsen system and the AUDI, and it's nice...I think a major selling point of the package, though, is the pop up tweeters...it does get pretty loud, but I noticed that the highs were way too high and hurt my ears... |

Logic 7 is good, not great, but good. It certainly does not deserve the bashing a few give it.
I had Diamond Audio in my truck. I thought they were amazing and they brought out sounds in music I had never noticed before. Little tings and chimes. The more I listen to Logic 7, the more I'm noticing these details in the music. I think a lot has to do with the EQ settings. I have mine in the U/V shape. Rap works the best with this (out of the music I listen to). While some rock sounds great, or good with it, other rock sounds like complete trash. |

I listen to a little rap and would have to agree. Like 99% of the frequencies can be played on almost any speaker as long as u have enough bass. Plus rap is not made to be perfectly clear. It's mostly about the bass/beat of the song. Classical and Jazz can sound much better on nice speakers vs cheap ones. Some Rock also sounds better on nicer speakers.

B & O is not considered very good home audio equipment for the price you pay. Bose is the laughing stock of high end home audio. Think for a minute, how come you only really see them in places like Best Buy and not in a quality home electronics store? I'll give them a little credit, Bose has created an image for themselves as the defining technology in audio through clever marketing.
Harmon Kardon, which is supposedly used in the Logic7 is mid-level home electronics grade. I honestly don't know much at all about the quality of their car audio components. There's quite a few brands I would pick over any of the aforementioned 3. Polk, Paradigm, B & W(Nautilus series is heavenly), Boston Acoustics, Acoustic Research and even JBL and Infinity to name a few. I have Boston speakers in my home theater and I'll take the Pepsi challenge any day with anything Bose, B & O and Harmon Kardon want to throw at it. That said, it's so disappointing that BMW didn't go a little better on the speaker quality in the 335i. The audio package could have been so much more. They could have included options for factory wired subs etc. for people that want a little extra bump in their music. The system is OK, but it could have been so much more. |
