FS: 1984 318 coupe - $1200 firm
I have my grandmothers 318i up for sale. I pulled the trigger on a 335i and I am getting it in a couple of weeks, so I need to sell this one. I can get $1000 trade in from the dealer, so in order to sell this one I would have to sell it for at least $1200 to be worth my time transferring the tags etc... Facts: It was/is garage kept, 2 door coupe, 93K miles on the odometer, but it is more like 100K (the speedometer does not work all the time, it must be a loose connection because it does work sometimes now - this only started happening about 6 months ago), and has a non-working passenger side window. Runs great, and has cloth seats, good air, great handeling, and really love the car. But I have to get rid of it. I will be doing so in the next week. If I do not sell it privately, I will be trading it in. Anyone interested or have any questions? |

+1... alot of dealerships wont take cars over 50k? just because its hard to sell old cars from the dealership. the mercedes sel420 w/ about 70k mls we traded in had a value of like 2.5k or something and my dealer told me he'd ask a friend who sold older cars if he would take it... and he ended up taking it.

i love old 4 cylinders. is it currenly being driven? You need to fire it up and take it around the block once in a while, if not.
BTW, you need to really do your homework on pricing. Maybe go to consumer reports to get tips on getting the best pricing on a new car. Don't even figure in the "trade-in" until you settle on a firm price. And after that, ask for as much accessories as you can get away with!!! Remember you look at prices as a retail customer, while the dealer see it as his wholesale cost, and is a matter of how much he wants to make off you or how much you allow him to make. |
