color temp. of stock halogens bulbs

What is the color temp. of our stock halogens particularly the fogs?

Most of us match xenons (4200-4300ish) or go higher but i'm interested in going yellow. I want to make sure I indeed go yellow and not stock.

yea, stock is around 4300k. thats pretty much pure white. those that go higher to 6000k acheive a faint blue tint and those that go 8000k have a cool blue color...not too blue, but a nice blue (subject to debates...many thinks its ricey) to acheive yellow, that range is around the 2500k to 3000k. you can purchase these h11 bulbs (fogs) off of ebay from reputable manufacturers like nokya, piaa, to name a few

Thanks for the replies guys. Just to be clear, I am not trying to xenon match 4200-4300K. I've seen the chart just not sure were stock halogen falls.

I guess I should of simply just asked, what is stock halogen temp (for the sake of reference) and what temp should I choose for a nice bright yellow?

The two obviously should not be the same. I'm trying to prevent myself from buying bulbs only to find they look like stock .

Found thread by lux.sh from back in Oct. 2005. Thanks lux!!!

He went with 2500K which looks to be a nice yellow. Search is over

Now, Stock halogen bulbs? 3400K I believe.

4200K - Stock Xenon
3400K - Stock Halogen Fogs
2500K - Yellow
