Help! Anyone have a Cobb AP?

*EDIT: All is well...Cobb AP installed successfully after checking the 'Check for beta firmware box' in the AP manager.

damn sorry to hear. What kind of cable is it? detachable? I might have a cable laying around if they are interchangeable. (serial to obd)

Does it say why it wont communicate with the car, you obviously dont have another tune intercepting the diag port..

The error says "ECU Comms" or something like that. And basically says it cannot communicate with the car, please check the connection and try again.

I tried it like 5 times different ways each time, and it can't connect at all...really frustrating. I have no other tune, my car is absolutely bone stock. I called Cobb and they said they can send me a new cable but of course that is more waiting...

And to add to the frustration PYSpeed STILL hasn't sent me a tracking number (which means it probably hasn't shipped) for my exhaust and it's over a week now. Sent them numerous PM's and emails, nothing.

Damn, sorry bro. Only cable I have is a serial to OBD. No usb or anything else?? I've got a usb to OBD but thats it

stupid question and I'm sure you tried it, but does the car have to have ign on? I dont know much about how to use the cobb but would assume so

It's no problem man...the Cobb has two ports: one port connects to the OBD via a 9 prong female connection and the other port is a USB.

And I had the ignition on and everything...this doesn't seem like a common problem so I might be at fault but I tried it many different ways and followed directions exactly...

oo, will it work without the 10 prong and just USB?? I have a USB to OBD cable that I use for coding.....lmk

Cool, thanks man. The connection on the Cobb unit is actually a 9 prong port, not 10 prong, there is a slot for a 10th prong but no prong there. It's a square connection (sorry I am illiterate when it comes to this stuff).

A 9 pin serial could possibly work! Are the pins in a square arrangement? I made a thread in the tuning section about this...

that was just an example picture to show the shape of the pins and everything. My cable has a female serial connection to ODB

I've got a COBB AP and I will be at Camber Toe Wednesday around 4:30 for an exhaust swap if that helps and you don't get it resolved before that.
