sparkling graphite repairs needed
Such a disappointing day. I came out to my husband's car and found myself as a victim of a hit and run. The back passenger side is all scrapped up and I didn't see it until i got home! There are indentations on the back door and tire rim. The parking lot had no cameras otherwise I would be on the hunt! The hard and tricky part will be to take care of the repairs (with or without insurance) before my husband comes home in 2 weeks! I can't put any undue stress on him now as he is prepping to complete some tests. Any advice on the best appoach to getting estimates from the dealer, private body shop, or contact insurance? Pix to follow. Its a 2007 335i Sparkling graphite. Such a downer day! |

So sorry to see that this happened - good for you for trying to get it fixed up on your own. Any husband would be proud and grateful. Unfortunately I think that's an insurance claim, the wheel itself (nice wheels btw) is no big deal, ~130 to fix, but you need at least a new door and some body work. How much is your deductible? I would get an estimate from a reputable shop and then take into consideration the amount of the repairs and how much would be covered by insurance.. ie whether it's worth it to file. Also I would have posted this in the main discussion forum as it looks like you need some answers quick. Good luck and hope everything works out well for you.
